HOLIDAYS IN THE PEACE AND QUIET OF THE ALENTEJO COUNTRYSIDE.

In the heart of the beautiful Alto Alentejo sits our home Monte Do Seixo.   It is near the small village of  Vale de Seda in the district of Fronteira.

We can offer two holiday homes in different locations in the village. 

MONTE DO SEIXO COTTAGE  -  is near the main house and can sleep up to 5 people.  It has an open plan kitchen living room, shower with toilet and handbasin and two bedrooms.  There is a good size terrace with wonderful views to the hills of the Serra de Estrella more than 120 kms away.  There is also use of a swimming pool.
in the rent are the sheets and towels. Guests can use a washing machine.

- 450 Euros per week
- 425 Euro / wk for 2 weeks or longer

- 350 Euros per week

QUINTA DA OLIVIERA  -  is again located near Vale de Seda near a small river.  The house is totally free from neighbours, being situated in open countryside with olive groves.  This house can sleep up to 10 people in a variety of rooms. 

 It is equipped with 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, dining area, 2 bathrooms with toilet and shower and 3/4 bedrooms.  It has a large terrace running the length of the property and gardens with swimming pool.

The village of Vale de Seda is a rural area with its own charm and a local cafe, supermarket  and adega (winery).  There is plenty to do in the area with walks, fishing, picnics, swimming, horseriding etc.  The historic town of Estremoz is nearby and the world famous horse stud at Alter do Chao.  There are numerous restaurants in the area.

We also offer our own experience with horses and dogs with stables and dog breeding centre.

THE STABLES  -  Our stables are situated near the main house at Monte do Seixo.  All the horses are bred by Dutch and German blood they have come to Portugal from our old home in Holland.  They have the famous 'Royal Dutch Warmblood Horses' certificate, which is not found very much in Portugal.  The horses are trained for dressage and are some of the best in that field.  

DOG BREEDING  -  We also breed the portuguese dog 'Rafeiro do Alentejo.  Our dogs are lovely friends in and around the main house.  Our dogs are all winners in their breeds.  If you fall in love with the breed we can always supply a puppy and have often 
sent dogs to Holland. They have the Champion title.
